Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The quote tool needs just six pieces of information: your gender, date of birth, health status, tobacco use, the amount of coverage, and the term length. These six answers are sufficient for carriers to provide rates. Your name, address, and detailed health information are only requested when you proceed to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

These represent the rates that each carrier quotes based on the health classification you selected. After underwriting, the carrier will set the actual premium, which may keep, upgrade, or downgrade your class. This site does not constitute an insurance offer or guarantee of any specific rate.

What happens when I click Apply?

You enter your name and the application is generated from the specific quote you selected. It then moves to the carrier's secure application system, where you can pause and continue later. Your signature is applied electronically throughout. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency (License 0B75129), handles the entire process.

Will I need a medical exam?

The requirement depends on the carrier, coverage amount, and your responses. Carriers offering immediate coverage can approve qualified applicants without delay. Each quote indicates whether a medical exam is necessary, might be needed, or is not required.

Is a longer term better?

Your coverage term should extend through the period when someone depends on your income—think mortgage payments, children in school, or business obligations. Longer coverage periods carry higher monthly costs but provide rate certainty for more years. You can compare 10-, 15-, 20-, 25-, and 30-year options side by side in the quote tool.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool does not gather contact information, we never sell or share your data, and our tracking uses no cookies. Visit the privacy page to see the complete list of what information we collect and which services collect it.
